Olympic Rings

  1. You will need information about the Olympics, particularly the history behind the Olympic ring logo, for this center. You will also need clay and paint.
  2. Your students should find out why there are 5 rings, what they represent, the meaning of the colors, and any other significant information about this logo.
  3. They will then create the logo out of clay.
  4. They should carve words or pictures into the rings to show what each one represents. Then they can paint them with the Olympic colors. Or they can simply paint on their sculptures without carving.
