Everyone will need calculators for this bell work. You will need to have instructions posted on the board as well. Instruct your kids to punch a # into the calculator and decide what its place value is. They will then punch in another # and discuss with their group/table what happened to the place value of the first #. Have them continue to do this through several place values.
