Advertising Effectiveness

Record a radio advertisement to play to your class. This is great practice for improving listening skills. Have them discuss, in writing, the ad' s effectiveness, the audience it is trying to reach, the particular language/words that are used, and the general method in which the ad is trying to make the listener "have to have" its product. Are your students interested in buying that product after hearing the ad?
